American Sniper by Chris Kyle with Scott McEwen and Jim DeFelice

American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History

American Sniper is the autobiography of Chris Kyle who is the Navy Seal Sniper with the most confirmed kills in military history. Like most books of this genre, it’s written for mass appeal in “good ole boy” language at a lower writing level for the masses. That being said, it’s a very fun read especially for fellow gun enthusiasts.

Chris clearly has the exact mind set for such work and calls it the way he sees it. He also doesn’t hesitate to call out the bureaucratic idiots in the higher ranks that hinder our soldiers.  His straight forward account of his own story is refreshing.  It was also nice to have italicized sections throughout the book were his wife gave her perspective on things allowing us to see the sacrifice the entire family makes when these heroes serve their country. If this topic interests you, then it’s worth your time. Hit the books, they don’t hit back!
