Gun Fight by Adam Winkler
This book just came out this year and received very good reviews from some of the organizations that defend the 2nd amendment. I found it to be a very good detailed history of the battle over 2nd Amendment rights in this country and who the players in this fight are. However, I think this author attempts to very subtly make a case for gun control in this country while trying to appear neutral on the issue. Some of his history is suspect on early gun control during the revolutionary period in our country. His treatment of John Lott Jr’s work, More Guns, Less Crime appears to be flat out incorrect. For the detailed history of this issue in this country, it’s worth reading but it is a veiled attempt to subtly promote his more left leaning view on the issue.
